NHS-TV

At Norwood High School students have the opportunity to enroll in a 4 level TV Production Class. Students learn all the different elements of video production and use the state-of-the-art high definition TV studio built in 2011 by NPA-TV. Student assignments are broadcast on the Educational Access Channel and include public service assignments, documentaries, news packages, movie scenes and Mustang magazine.

NHS Update

One of the long traditions at Norwood High School is NHS Update, a daily morning newscast broadcast that is broadcast live to the classrooms as well as on the Educational Access Channel. TV students volunteer their time to produce the newscast which updates the staff, students and community on all activities at Norwood High School.

NHS-TV Students in College

Many students enrolled in the high school program have gone on to major in communications in college. Some of the school include Emerson College, Syracuse University, Boston University, Ithaca College, Quinnipiac University, Framingham State University, USC, Dean College and Bridgewater State University.

NHS-TV Alumni at Work

NHS-TV alumni are currently working at NPA-TV, Bravo, TD Garden, MLB Network, Miami Dolphins, Boston Red Sox, WTNH-TV New Haven, CNN, Harvard University Solomon McCown and Co. and Braintree Public Access.
